Psychometric Tests
We can organise psychometric tests for evaluating personality, career choices in addition to identifying severity of conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression using a variety of inventories, self-reporting/assessment tools.
Visual CPT
(Continuous Performance Test)
Visual Continuous Performance Test (CPT) is a test designed to measure attentional variables.
The visual CPT test simply measures brain response times in a variety of circumstances and involves pushing buttons on a small box in response to lights for 20 minutes in total.
The visual CPT’s norms are set for morning hours prior to lunch and has a high degree/level of sensitivity in detecting performance degradation due to fatigue after school.
Benefits of the Visual CPT:
- Provides a higher level of reliability when used in combination with other assessments tools to establish consistency among them
- Provides pre/post measures of attentional variables (offers good test-retest reliability)
- Performs comparison of same conditions at the beginning and the end of the test
- Has an advantage over the standard Test of Variables of Attention (TOVA) in that it tracks the test participant’s performance when transitioning from high demand to low-demand conditions.
